Photo Restoration Process

I fix light scratches using standard image editing tools. For fading and stains I use a combination of burning, selective levels, and recreation of details by hand. Certain types of damage require more than simple repair. Missing emulsion, fading that has destroyed all information, and unfortunatly placed rips require the creation of picture elements. In these cases I use a combination of cloning from stock photographs and artistic recreation.
